The Father of Angklung Daeng Sutigna first created the diatonic angklung in 1938. ImageMENJADI bagian dalam sejarah tentu merupakan kebanggaan tersendiri bagi setiap orang yang mengalaminya. Terlebih sejarah yang ditorehkan merupakan sesuatu yang dibanggakan oleh negeri ini.

Ini pula yang dialami salah seorang peserta Indonesian Idol asal Kota Bandung, Gea Dahliana Oktarin yang akrab disapa Gea ”Idol”. Bersama 10 ribu lebih peserta lainnya, Gea menjadi bagian dalam acara pemecahan rekor Muri bermain angklung dengan peserta terbanyak di Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad), Jln. Dipati Ukur Bandung, Senin (27/8).

Baru saja tercatat sebagai mahasiswa baru Fakultas Psikologi Unpad, Gea berkesempatan ikut menjadi bagian dari sejarah rekor Muri. Rasa bangga dan haru seketika muncul pada wajah dara kelahiran Bandung 23 Oktober, 18 tahun silam ini.

”Waduh, seneng banget, bangga, terharu, pokoknya semua campur aduk deh,” kata Gea usai mengikuti acara pemecahan rekor Muri.

Dengan wajah sumringah dan dipenuhi tawa riang, Gea pun bertutur tentang kecintaannya terhadap budaya termasuk musik tradisional angklung. Alumnus SMAN 20 Bandung ini mengaku bahwa angklung bukanlah barang baru bagi dirinya. Jauh hari sebelum dia bergabung dalam acara pemecahan rekor Muri ini, Gea sudah terbiasa memainkan alat musik yang terbuat dari bambu ini.

”Ini bukan yang pertama buatku. Sebelumnya juga pernah main, soalnya punya temen di Saung Udjo dan sering ke sana. Jadi, sudah pernah memegang dan main angklung,” katanya.

Namun, bermain dengan ribuan peserta bagi Gea adalah yang pertama kali. Putri bungsu pasangan Tjatja Suria Sumantri dan Edith Lulla Delima ini pun mengaku mengalami hal yang berbeda dibandingkan bermain sendiri. ”Beda banget. Begitu angklungnya bunyi semua, wah... pokoknya seneng banget,” ujarnya antusias.

Gea mengaku, kecintaannya terhadap budaya tradisional timbul karena didikan sang ayah. Sejak kecil dia sudah diperkenalkan dengan berbagai budaya tradisional Indonesia termasuk di antaranya angklung.

”Dari kecil saya sudah diperkenalkan dengan budaya tradisional. Soalnya ayahku kan suka banget sama budaya termasuk musik tradisional seperti angklung ini,” ujarnya.

Namun, Gea mengaku ketertarikannya lebih kepada olah vokal dan seni tari. Sejak kecil, Gea mengaku sudah belajar menari selain bakat menyanyi yang kini dia tekuni secara profesional.

”Saya seneng-nya menari dari kecil, tetapi sekarang kayaknya fokus nyanyi aja deh,” tuturnya seraya tersenyum lebar.

Selain bertutur tentang budaya dan kesenian tradisional, Gea juga bercerita bagaimana rasanya menjadi seorang mahasiswa baru. Masuk dan bergabung dengan dunia yang jauh berbeda dengan dunia sekolah menjadi tantangan lain bagi Gea.

”Iya, hari ini pertama ospek. Tapi saya nggak takut. Sama senior juga nggak. Mereka semua baik kok. Lagian sekarang kan ospeknya nggak kaya dulu lagi,” ujarnya.

Di fakultas psikologi yang menjadi pilihan pertamanya, Gea ingin sekali belajar banyak tentang karakter orang yang bermacam-macam. Sebab, hal itu pula yang membuatnya tertarik dan ingin masuk ke fakultas psikologi.

”Saya senang melihat tingkah laku orang dan pengen tahu bagaimana memperlakukan orang lain yang berbeda-beda karakter. Makanya pilih psikologi dan alhamdulillah diterima lewat SPMB,” ungkapnya. (Nuryani/”PR”)***
