The Father of Angklung Daeng Sutigna first created the diatonic angklung in 1938. ImageALUNAN nada yang membentuk harmonisasi lagu menggema di halaman kampus Universitas Padjadjaran Jln. Dipati Ukur Bandung, Senin (27/8) siang. Lebih dari sepuluh ribu pasang tangan memainkan alat musik tradisional angklung, dan memanjakan ribuan pasang telinga yang mendengarnya.

RIBUAN mahasiswa baru dan ”civitas academica” Unpad memainkan alat musik tradisional angklung dalam upaya memecahkan rekor Muri di kampus Universitas Padjadjaran Jln. Dipati Ukur Bandung, Senin (27/8). Acara yang merupakan rangkaian acara Dies Natalis ke-50 Unpad itu dihadiri Menteri Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Jero Wacik, Gubernur Jabar Danny Setiawan, Ketua DPRD Jabar H.A.M. Ruslan, dan Rektor Unpad Ganjar Kurnia.*ANDRI GURNITA/”PR”

Bukan seniman atau pemain musik profesional yang memainkan alat musik yang terbuat dari bambu itu. Namun, mereka adalah para mahasiswa baru Unpad, baik dari program D-3, S-1, maupun dari program ekstensi, yang sebagian besar baru pertama kali memegang dan memainkan alat musik angklung.

Bersama para dosen, guru besar, Gubernur Jawa Barat Danny Setiawan, Ketua DPRD Jawa Barat H.A.M. Ruslan, Menteri Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata RI Jero Wacik, serta Pemimpin Umum Pikiran Rakyat H. Syafik Umar, para mahasiswa baru itu menorehkan sejarah dengan memecahkan rekor Muri bermain angklung dengan peserta terbanyak.

Acara tersebut merupakan salah satu rangkaian acara Dies Natalis ke-50 Unpad.

Di bawah bimbingan konduktor Ika Widia dari Saung Angklung Mang Udjo, ribuan pemain angklung itu mampu melantunkan lima lagu yang diajarkan secara instan saat itu juga.

Hanya dalam waktu beberapa menit, para pemain angklung dadakan tersebut melantunkan lagu ”Father Jacob”, ”Hymne Unpad”, ”Indonesia Pusaka”, ”You Raise Me Up”, dan ”Pileuleuyan”, disertai lantunan suara Andien, Dwiki Darmawan, dan Arumba Saung Angklung Udjo Band.

Tak tanggung-tanggung, empat penghargaan sekaligus diberikan atas pemecahan rekor Muri itu.

Jaya Suprana sebagai Ketua Umum Muri dan Ayliawati sebagai Direktur Museum Rekor Indonesia menyerahkan penghargaan kepada Rektor Unpad Ganjar Kurnia, Ketua Panitia Dies Natalis Unpad Sutyastie Sumitro Remi beserta panitia penerimaan mahasiswa baru, Saung Angklung Udjo, dan Depbudpar.

Jaya Suprana mengatakan, pemecahan rekor Muri angklung dengan peserta terbanyak ini bukan hanya menjadi rekor di Indonesia. Akan tetapi, menjadi rekor dunia karena ini pertama kali angklung dimainkan sepuluh ribu peserta.

”Tidak usah bingung melegitimasi. Kita sendiri yang mengakui bahwa ini sebagai rekor dunia dan diakui oleh dunia,” katanya.

Rekor Muri untuk permainan angklung sebelumnya dilakukan pada 8 Juli 2006. Ketika itu, sebanyak 2.421 karyawan BNI memainkan angklung bersama.

 

Daftarkan ke UNESCO

Menteri Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Jero Wacik mengatakan, pihaknya akan mendaftarkan angklung agar diakui UNESCO sebagai alat musik tradisional Indonesia. Sebab, saat ini menurut Jero, angklung sudah mulai diklaim sebagai alat musik milik negara Malaysia.

”Minggu lalu, kami sudah mendaftarkan angklung kepada UNESCO dan sekarang masih dalam proses. Bisa jadi, bukan hanya negara kita yang mendaftarkan dan UNESCO pasti akan mengkaji dan mencari tahu di negara mana angklung ini pertama kali ada,” katanya.

Sementara pimpinan Saung Angklung Udjo, Taufik Hidayat Udjo mengaku sangat bangga sekaligus terbantu dengan adanya pemecahan rekor Muri ini. Sebab, menurut dia, dengan dimainkannya angklung oleh masyarakat Indonesia maka negara mana pun tidak akan berani mengklaim bahwa angklung adalah milik mereka.

Kebanggaan dan rasa kecintaan juga hadir di antara para guru besar Unpad. Bahkan, Dekan Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Unpad, Eky Setiawan mengaku sangat bangga menjadi bangsa Indonesia.

Jero Wacik menambahkan, dirinya berharap bisa mewujudkan pendirian museum film dan musik Indonesia yang menampung seluruh alat musik tradisional tanah air dan film-film produksi tanah air karena selama ini seluruh alat musik Indonesia hanya dititipkan di museum yang ada.

”Itu adalah agenda utama saya. Tetapi, sekali lagi kami terkendala soal dana. Namun, bukan berarti kami berhenti, semuanya harus diperjuangkan. Berjuang untuk kebudayaan. Sebab, apa lagi yang bisa kita banggakan selain budaya bangsa kita sendiri,” katanya.

Jero berharap masyarakat bisa mencintai budaya sendiri. Salah satunya, dengan menonton dan menikmati suguhan budaya. ”Separuh waktu saya digunakan untuk menonton, dan dengan cara ini budaya kita bisa terangkat dan terdorong agar jangan sampai punah. Coba saja setiap gubernur, wali kota, atau rektor selalu menonton pergelaran budaya, saya yakin mereka akan terus berupaya untuk melestarikan budaya tersebut,” ungkapnya. (Nuryani/”PR”)***
