This website is a medium of information exchange about angklung knowledge and competence, especially diatonic angklung in orchestral composition.

Since the Father of Angklung Daeng Soetigna created the diatonic angklung in 1938, angklung still faces challenge of identity to be acknowledged as standard music instrument in global world. The standard in constructing the instrument, tuning, forming, the technique of playing, and the composition are not strong yet, and it is an obstacle for angklung to become a standard music instrument.

On the other side, the angklung music community as a part of music education and even industry has not been formed yet. It is a challenge for the angklung music development.

Through this website we would like to ask you who are care of angklung music development to pass the information to the world so that the angklung music can develop better in the future. Through the picture of this writing, we would like to give an alternative activity for a team or an angklung music community, which can be developed to be an industry activity in the future.

Last but not least, it is our duty to raise our angklung to be appreciated like other standard music instruments. Thank you.
